Maternity benefits available even beyond pregnancy and delivery

Women employed in a government establishment or in establishments like those of industrial, commercial, agricultural or otherwise; functioning with more than 10 employees are eligible for maternity leave of 12 months. Also women who are ill due to pregnancy, delivery, premature birth, miscarriage, termination of pregnancy and tubectomy are eligible for leave of one month and additional benefits. This is held in addition to normal 12 weeks maternity leave and allowances.
