Amount of contributions or permanency does not affect the quantum of medical benefits under the ESI Act

Casual and temporary employees are equally entitled to benefits and schemes under the ESI Act. Also, all the employees are equally eligible to medical care without any regards to the amount of contributions as all are treated on equal grounds for medical care. It is also to be noted that medical benefit is available even in a case where an employee fails to pay contribution.
