Online GPF payment - Sikkim government's revolutionary move

In order to facilitate decentralized online payment of General Provident Fund (GPF) the Government of Sikkim has introduced GPF Online Payment System at district level. The system is to operate complimentarily with the existing Pay and Accounting Systems in all Pay and Accounts Offices (PAO).

The web- based GPF module incorporates the calculations of admissible amounts inbuilt. This equips the Government employees with the facility of temporary and non refundable withdrawal by presenting their bills in district PAO.

The heads of offices in the districts are authorized to sanction withdrawals and payments from GPF. For subscribers’ convenience NIC Sikkim has launched a website (http://intrasikkim.nic.in). Later this programme would also be introduced in the east, north and west districts.
