Equal opportunities bill scheduled to be tabled in Winter Session

Minority affairs minister Salman Khursheed has informed that a bill seeking diversity profiling of employees in public and private sectors will be tabled in Parliament in the coming Winter Session. He said that this will serve as a major step in bringing together the majority and the minority with due concerns to equality. This will support better recruitment of disadvantaged people.
The legislation that facilitates to recommend incentives and disincentives to employers is in the final stages of preparation. The legislation will be based on information in the records of employers and their performance in the diversity index.
